What We Offer

River Park Hospital is a 187-bed facility, including an off-site campus, that provides mental health services to children, adolescents, adults and seniors. The staff at River Park Hospital is committed to demonstrating sensitivity to the needs of every individual and improving the quality of life through individualized treatment. Acute Inpatient Programs

  • Children & Adolescent Inpatient Program: For patients ages 8 to 17, the program helps children, adolescents and their families through individualized assessment, stabilization and discharge planning for long-term mental health.
  • Children & Adolescent 30-Day Diagnostic Program: Provides diagnostic clarification for children & adolescents ages 8 to 17. These youth may have a number of diagnoses or have received numerous mental health services in the past.

  • 30-Day Adolescent Chemical Dependency Program: A short-term program that focuses on detox, trauma-focused therapy modalities, and breaking the larger cycle of addiction. Ages 12 to 17.

  • Adult Inpatient Program: For adults ages 18 and older, we focus on specific problems and solution development to help stop certain cycles that may lead to further emotional distress.

  • Senior Adults (Seniors) Inpatient Program: A treatment program for adults ages 60 and older that specializes in treating the complex needs of older patients, particularly those with dementia, including Alzheimer’s.

Psychiatric Residential Treatment Programs

  • Adolescent Sex Offender Program (Roundtable): The Roundtable Program is a unique, psychiatric residential treatment program for adolescent male sex offenders, ages 12 to 17.

  • The Barboursville School: The Barboursville School is a secure 24-hour psychiatric residential treatment facility providing mental health services for male and female adolescents ages 12 to 17 who have demonstrated harm to self or others.

  • Child Abuse Reactive Program (BRIDGE): The Bridge Program is a psychiatric residential treatment program designed for male and female children ages 7 to 12 who have been sexual, physically and emotionally abused and are experiencing psychological, emotional and behavioral difficulties.
